WRLDs System
WRLDs offers two types of objects. Within the WRLDs System, participants can generate both virtual 3D and physical objects from their trading data. Translating trading data into these new forms creates a shareable social object from the symbolic language of trading. WRLDs System Objects convey the abstracted methods of trades through both their form, and their visual codes. They do not convey any personal or professional information. You do not have to be a member to generate a System Object. Anyone can enter data, and produce an object using the form on our order page. More... However, membership allows users to build a network of visual information and observe trends in trading methods over time. WRLDs System for Members For members, the virtual object becomes an interface stored on the users home page, in The Foyer. As new data is added, this virtual object changes in real time. Members can choose to make their virtual object available to members of a private group of their choosing, or they can designate it to be available for all WRLDs members.
More... WRLDs generates an anonymous database from trading data entered by participants, and uses this data to create a public System Object in The Foyer. This object is generated from the top 10% of trades made by WRLDs members.
At any point, a virtual object can be sent to WRLDs, to be printed as a physical object in either a fused ceramic, or as a model, to be produced in matte porcelain. Any public System Object can be printed by any member. Or, an owner can choose to print their object at any time. Once printed, a users trading data becomes a frozen moment of information and an object in both social and architectural space. More....
The parameters
The form of these objects is generated based on trading a single stock over a given time frame. They use volume, time in the market, the number of round trips, the number of shares traded, and profit or loss. System Objects have a coded visual system on their surface, which conveys the stock symbol, the number of shares traded and the number of times the position was held, (round trips made). Each trading period specified creates a single object designed to be linked together with other objects, in a vertical form. You can see examples of this form in the images to the right. They are also designed to place multiple vertical forms together, creating a field of data. These objects can be printed in fused ceramic or porcelain. More...
System Object: Placed as group With System Objects each trading period creates a single object designed to be linked together with other objects in a vertical form. These objects are also designed to place multiple vertical forms in a larger space, creating a landscape of data. Here 3 vertical groups are placed together. System Objects can be printed in either fused ceramic or as a wax model to be produced in porcelain. More...
System Object: Vertical group showing 9 System Objects With System Objects each trading period creates a single object designed to be linked together with other objects, in a vertical form. The form is generated based on trading a single stock over a given time frame. They use volume, time in the market, the number of round trips, the number of shares traded, and profit or loss. Their surface contains a coded visual system, which conveys the stock symbol, the number of shares traded and the number of times the position was held, (round trips made). Each period of trading data entered into the WRLDs System using these parameters generates a unique form. These objects are also designed to place multiple vertical forms in a larger area, creating a landscape of data. Here 9 System Objects are shown as a vertical group. These objects can be printed in either fused ceramic or porcelain. More...
System Object: Showing detail of several objects With System Objects each trading period creates a single object designed to be linked together with other System Objects objects, in a vertical form. This image shows a detail of how the objects fit together. |
