About WRLDs, LLC
WRLDs is a Limited Liability Corporation, located in Seattle, WA.
It is based on a hybrid business model that supports both for-profit and what was traditionally non-profit, (the arts and humanities) interests.
History
WRLDs was founded by Marta Lyall, a researcher, writer and artist, whose work focuses on the structures and mechanisms of information. She has served on the faculty of the University of Washington, and Carnegie Mellon University where she taught interdisciplinary studies, including New Media and Electronic Time-based Art. Her teaching and research has often blurred the boundaries between the humanities, science, engineering and economics. She also lectured and presented in Japan and Europe.
In addition to her former faculty work, she earned her NASD licenses, working in the financial sector to better understand markets and their impact on our culture.
